The Life & Style of Interesting People
Sarah Lang lives in Toronto with her family and is a Certified Professional Coach and we're lucky to have her as customer of Logan & Finley. Here are Sarah's answers to our questions about her sustainable lifestyle and some pictures from a recent photoshoot with her:
How would you define your lifestyle?
Full and varied. I run my own coaching practice full-time where I help women make career and lifestyle changes. I have two amazing little kids, Jojo and Ollie, and a great partner, who also works freelance. We love travelling and adventure, and are in the midst of planning a month-long trip to Australia for the winter holidays.
As a self-care aficionado, I’m also sure to fit my needs and personal interests onto the agenda. Right now, my self-care regime includes Reiki, interior design, writing and boxing classes.
Is spending time in nature important to you? Tell us why!
Very much. There’s a gorgeous park near my house, Cedarvale Ravine, which I walk through a lot. It’s a simple ritual that helps put whatever I’m thinking about into a bigger perspective.
Nature helps my kids chill out, too. I actually wrote about it in this piece about our summer trip to Scotland:

What excites you about choosing a sustainable lifestyle?
Our kids are watching us! I want them to see their parents living intentionally - and not just burying their heads in the sand.
Was there an ‘aha’ moment you recall where you realized you wanted to put more effort towards sustainable living?
The amount of stuff that is accumulated with little kids! We have a small semi-detached home in midtown Toronto. There is no garage, elaborate storage system or walk-in closet to speak of. I adore a clean, cozy, uncluttered space. So, I’m very mindful of what I buy or accumulate. I want to love what we have and I want it to last.
If you were to give advice to others about embarking on a ‘greener’ life and style, where/how would you tell them to start?
Write up a meal plan and only buy the foods on the list. Meal planning has really reduced my food waste. (Plus it makes me feel more organized, eat better and save money – so there are lots of added benefits to this one habit!)
What are you passionate about? Where do you find inspiration?
I’m passionate about helping women bust through limits surrounding what their life and career can look like.
Inspiration abounds! My clients transform their realities in front of my very eyes. And women all around the world are coming forward and telling their stories. I love it all!

How did you hear about Logan and Finley? Through an amazing former colleague, Lisa. She came into work with a cool sweater made out of recycled bottles (??). She told me I had to visit the shop. The rest is history.
What’s your most treasured item from Logan and Finley? Why? I love all my MIIK dresses. I refuse to choose just one! They’re flattering, easy to wear and the fabric is soft and gorgeous. Oh, and they’re colourful, which is a good change from of my go-to blacks and greys.
Here's one we asked her to model for us this fall and it just so happens to be our Weekly Special as well - Shop this dress
What place do you think Logan and Finley has in helping Torontonians live a greener life and style?
Your shop makes it easy to buy more sustainable clothing – because you’ve done the research and legwork for us.
